How many movies is Hollywood making in a single year?
Each year, Hollywood studios produce approximately 3,000 films. That's right, 3000!
Hollywood spends billions to advertise for these movies. They spend millions making them. They also spend millions on marketing them. However, how many actually make it to the theaters?
The answer is probably around 200-300. What happens to the 2,700+ additional films? The majority of these films are either direct-to video releases or sit in storage.
However, not all of them are unavoidable. Some of them were selected for distribution via Netflix Prime, Amazon Prime and Hulu Plus, iTunes or Google Play.
Hence, why aren't there more of them? They are not being released in theaters. They're too expensive.
They could also be made cheaper and put into theaters.
That's where my expertise comes in. I'll help you find the best way for your film to be released in theaters.
I will show you how to maximize the return on your investment (ROI), and increase your chances of seeing your film in theaters.
Let's face facts...
It can be challenging to get your film into theaters. The process is complex, lengthy and involves many legalities.
It could also be costly before you even start.
Even worse, your window of opportunity to distribute your film is very limited.
There simply isn't enough time between when a film is finished, and its theatrical run begins.
How much do actors get paid?
Actor pay ranges from $1 million per movie to less than $100,000 for independent films. The average actor receives between $10,000 and $20,000 for a film. Many actors get no pay. It depends on how successful an actor is. Some actors are successful and make millions. Others struggle to find work.
What is the difference between a producer and a distributor?
The movie is made by a producer. The movie is distributed through a distributor. Producers can sell their movies directly to theaters, distributors, or other companies like Netflix. Distributors buy movies from producers. Distributors then sell the movies to theaters, cable networks, and streaming services.
Distributors should negotiate with theater owners regarding where their movies are playing. This means that some theaters may charge more to see a certain movie than others. A distributor should have multiple theaters in order to ensure that your movie is seen by as many people possible.
