The British line of succession is determined by descent, sex, legitimacy, and religion. Common law says that the throne is passed to the children and collateral lines of a sovereign. There are also other rules that govern who inherits what part of the throne. Let's have a closer look at a few of them. You will hopefully get a better idea about how succession works in the UK by the end.
Prince George
The young prince is third-in-line to the throne. He stands third after his father William and mother Catherine. His parents have worked hard in order to keep their children grounded. He lives a much more normal life that previous royals. Prince George, his nephews and nieces will be the third in line for the throne until then. This could change, however, because of changes to succession laws, it is now more difficult for younger royals to take over the role.
Prince Louis
The Royal Line of succession is a complicated process in the United Kingdom. The eldest male was traditionally the first to ascend to the throne. This is now changed by the 2013 Succession to the Crown Act. Now, the eldest male in line is the eldest son of the current king. Prince Louis, his older brother Prince Harry, is now the fifth in line for the throne. His older sister Princess Charlotte has not been replaced by the new baby boy.
Prince William
Prince William is third in line for the throne. He is also the oldest son of Prince Charles and Duchess of Cambridge. He was born on July 22, 2013, and is expected be the next head of state. His mother, Princess Diana was 36 years when she died. Her children, Prince George (and Princess Charlotte) are next in line to succeed her.

Princess Beatrice
Beatrice was born in the Portland Hospital in London. She went on to attend St George's School in Ascot and then went on to study at Goldsmiths College in London. After graduating, she worked briefly at the Foreign Office and Sony Pictures. She was eventually promoted to Vice President of Strategic Partnerships at Afiniti. It is a global financial service firm. Outward Bound and Teenage Cancer Trust are also private clients. Her husband is Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi and they are expecting a daughter in September 2021.
Prince Edward
Although the line of succession in Britain is complex and long, it is easy to understand. The line de succession basically states that the oldest of the children is entitled to the crown, and the heir evident is the next. Prince Edward will be the sixth in line. Prince Edward is the son and daughter of Princess Elizabeth (King George VI) and Prince Edward. They share the throne. When he reaches 61 years of age, the prince will be made king.
Princess Anne
During her mother’s reign, Princess Anne remained second in the British line for succession behind Prince Charles. Prince Andrew, her younger brother took Princess Anne's place. Since then, however, she's been falling further down in the succession hierarchy. This is partially due to Prince Andrew's resignation from his duties as a member of House of Lords.
Queen Elizabeth II
George V, the first king in the British monarchy, is the only surviving child. Queen Elizabeth II and King George VI are his only two children. The throne will be passed to the next eldest child regardless of whether they are male or female. Up until 2013, the line to succeed was more favorable to sons than daughters. However, a Perth, Australia vote changed that. Unless there is no living son, daughters now hold the throne.

Prince Charles
Prince George will be the third child, after his grandfather as well as his father, to wear the throne. William and Catherine have 3 children - Prince George and Princess Charlotte, as well as Prince Louis. Prince George, who will be following his father and grandfather as the oldest in line to inherit the throne, and his siblings in third place will be his siblings. Prince Charles' younger son, Prince George, was born in 1984, and he is in line to become king if his father becomes monarch.
Prince George is the son of Prince William
The British line of succession can be complicated. Prior to 2013, males had no precedence over younger sisters. The third line now includes a male born after October 20, 2011. Prince George's younger sister, Princess Charlotte, will be fourth in the line. This means that if Prince Louis does succeed his mother, Princess Charlotte will be the next in line. And the future British monarchy will not be in the hands the next Prince William.

It is composed of 2,711 stars embedded into sidewalks along Hollywood Boulevard. Each star represents a person who has contributed to television, radio, theatre, music, motion pictures, or any other aspect of popular culture. The HWOF currently lists 1,922 people.
You will need to submit your application to the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce in order to be considered for membership to the HWOF. It also includes information about your occupation, occupation and category. A bronze plaque with the name of your choice is included. This plaque is attached to a concrete base located in front of the designated Star.
If you were nominated by an HWOF member, or if there are significant contributions made to the entertainment, film, radio, theatre, and music industries, you may be eligible for a "star" award. A committee reviews all the nominations before deciding whether or not they are approved. If they do, they send a letter to the applicant's home address explaining their decision. The second letter is sent to the applicant confirming acceptance of the nomination if the person accepts it. The applicant then pays $25 to the Hollywood Chamber of commerce, which forwards the money to the City of Los Angles Department of Cultural Affairs.
The department issues an official check payable to Hollywood Chamber of commerce. This check is then sent to the Hollywood Walk of Fame Foundation. The foundation pays the applicant or organization. The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce receives half of the fee ($12.50). The City of Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs receives the remaining half.
After an artist has received his/her Star, he/she can be eligible for the HWOF. To be included in the HWOF, your balance must be paid to the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce. The amount due depends on how many years ago you were first nominated. For example, $15,000. Suppose you were first nominated as a nominee in 1990. You would be responsible for $10,000 if you had been nominated previously in 1980.
You can remove yourself from HWOF by contacting the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce to pay the rest of your debt. They will remove your name from this list.

When nominated, one must have at least 18-years-old. A person must be present at the time of receiving a star. A star can be renominated after 10 years.

Nominating you can be done by family members. The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce will place an honorary marker in front of the star if there are no living relatives.
Why can't we just choose a different street and not have stars all over?
The HWOF was not created to be a historical landmark. It honors those who made history through film.
What happened to the stars that got stolen? The thieves took around 1,200 stars. Each star weighs between 250-300 lbs, so if you add up all the weight, that comes out to about 4 tons worth of stars!
