Lou Reed's Life Story

Lou Reed's life is complicated and intricately intertwined. He was an anxious teenager in the first part of his story. He was often performative and resisted socialising. Despite these problems, his family remained traditional, consulting with doctors and eventually recommending electro-convulsive therapy for him. Lou saw this as torture and it was a dividing line in their relationship.

Chuck Berry's contribution to rock 'n roll

The life of Chuck Berry begins in the mid-20th century, when he was just 17 years old. At Sumner High School he was a rising star. Federal authorities accused Berry of violating the Mann Act and transporting an underage girl for immoral purposes. Berry was convicted after two racist trials and sentenced. However, upon release, he immediately began putting new hits on the pop charts. His interest in rock music had begun to grow, and he was influenced by the British Invasion, notably the Rolling Stones and Beatles. After a brief stint in prison, he began performing concerts and establishing a singing quartet, where he remained active throughout his life.

Jim Morrison’s role in rock ‘n’ roll

Many people consider Morrison's role as a rock 'n' roll singer to be symbolic. But his style and personal life had a profound impact on his music. The archetype of the leading singer, the sexy and brooding poet that drove the girls wild, was created by Morrison. He was the embodiment of rock star status with his bare chest. His leather jacket, long hair and piercing gaze were all his trademark features. Jim Morrison's '60s and '70s style was evident despite not having any formal music training.

Is Hollywood greater than Bollywood

Producing films that are well-received is the most difficult challenge.

Problem is, there are many films competing for viewers' time and money. You won't be noticed if your movie isn't unique.

But what is the secret to making a movie successful. What makes an actor famous or a director? Or a director? You need to have talent but also luck. You might have all the best actors in the world, but if they're working on a bad script, nothing will come of it.

There are two types of films: independent productions and blockbuster movies with big budgets. Production and distribution of blockbuster movies costs hundreds of millions. How to get your star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame

The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce established the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1960. The HWOF, located at 6233 Hollywood Boulevard Los Angeles, California. It's made up of 2,711 stars, which are embedded in the sidewalk on Hollywood Boulevard. Each star represents someone who contributed to motion pictures, television, radio, theater, music, or some aspect of popular culture. There are currently 1,922 active individuals on the HWOF.

To become a member of the HWOF, you must submit your name to the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, which then submits your name to the City of Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs. Once approved, you receive a certificate of eligibility, which includes your name, date of birth, city of residence, occupation, and category. A bronze plaque with the name of your choice is included. This plaque is affixed to a concrete base in front of the designated star.

If you were nominated by an HWOF member, or if there are significant contributions made to the entertainment, film, radio, theatre, and music industries, you may be eligible for a "star" award. A committee reviews all the nominations before deciding whether or not they are approved. If they decide to approve, they write a letter to the address of the applicant explaining their decision. A second letter confirms acceptance if the nominee accepts the nomination. The Hollywood Chamber of commerce then sends $25 to the City of Los Angles Department of Cultural Affairs.

The department issues a cheque payable to the Hollywood Chamber of commerce. It then sends the check the Hollywood Walk of Fame Foundation. The foundation pays the application submitted by the artist or organization. The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce receives half of the fee ($12.50). The City of Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs gets the rest.

Once the artist has received his/her star, he/she becomes eligible to be included in the HWOF. To be eligible to list on the HWOF you will need to pay the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce all outstanding balance. The amount due will vary depending on how long ago you were nominated. If you were first honoured in 1990, then you would owe $15,000. For example, if your first nomination was in 1990, you would owe $15,000. However, if it had been in 1980, you would owe 10,000.

If you want to remove yourself from the HWOF, you need to contact the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce and pay off the remainder of your debt. They will remove your name permanently from the HWOF list.

How old does one have to get a star on the HWOF?

You must be at the least 18 year old to be nominated. To receive a star, one must be alive at that time. A star can be renominated after 10 years.

What happens if I die before my star gets put up?

A family member can nominate your name for a star. The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce will place an honorary marker in front of the star if there are no living relatives.

Why not use a new street, instead of staring at everyone?

The HWOF was not created to be a historical landmark. It honors those who made history through film.

What happened to the stars that got stolen? The thieves took around 1,200 stars. Each star weighs between 250-300 lbs, so if you add up all the weight, that comes out to about 4 tons worth of stars!
