FAQ

Can I start my own distribution company?

No. Without being a distributor, you cannot legally establish a distribution company.

Even though you may not be distributing other people's films, you still have to follow certain rules.

You can't, for example, charge different prices to different theaters. You can't charge different fees for different customers.

You also can't sell your services to other companies.

What is the annual salary of Hollywood?

Producing a movie can cost around $100 million. For a decade, ten movies would be enough to produce enough money for a country.

You would have your own island, including an airport, a power station, a bank and a post office.

If that doesn't sound like fun, then you must be insane.

Why aren't more independent films distributed?

Many indie filmmakers believe that distributors will take their films.

Because they love the work, distributors will likely buy their films.

This is not often the case. Independent filmmakers are often used by distributors.

They employ tactics like delaying a movie's release until after awards season has ended.

They also delay the release date for a low-budget film until the summer blockbuster movie season has begun.

Distributors try to keep films out of the hands of audiences until they've spent hundreds on tickets, popcorn, and candy.

They don't want any of those profits to go to waste.

What is the average salary of actors?

The average actor's salary ranges between $1 million and $100,000 depending on whether the film is independent or a movie. Actors typically receive between $10,000 and $20,000 per film. However, many actors are not paid at all. It depends on how successful an actor is. It all depends on how successful they are.

How many movies makes Hollywood each year?

Each year, Hollywood studios produce approximately 3,000 films. It's true, there are three thousand!

Hollywood spends billions advertising these films. They spend millions producing them. They also spend millions promoting them. However, how many actually make it to the theaters?

The answer is most likely between 200 and 300. So what happens to all those other 2,700+ films? Well, most are either made as direct-to-video releases, or they just sit there gathering dust in storage vaults.

Some of them may not be seen. Some of them are available for distribution via Netflix and Amazon Prime, Hulu Plus or iTunes, Google Play, and others.

Hence, why aren't there more of them? Why aren’t they being shown in theaters instead? They're too expensive.

And if they were cheaper to produce, they'd be released into theaters.

This is where I come in. I'll help you find the best way for your film to be released in theaters.

You'll learn how to maximize your return and increase the chances of your movie being shown in theaters.

Let's face the facts...

It can be very difficult to get your film in theaters. The process can be complex and lengthy.

It may also cost you plenty of money before you even get started.

It is even more difficult to distribute your film within a limited timeframe.

There isn't enough time in between the time a movie is finished and when its theatrical run starts.

How much of the box-office revenue is spent on marketing budgets?

Marketing budgets often account for 20%-40% of the film's budget. This is because marketing plays a vital role in any film's success.

No one will know about your film if you don't do good marketing. People won't pay for it if they don’t know about it.
